In 1990, not
long after the research institute was started, the
chairman of the Association of Laying Chickens of
Japan, Mr. Songben Shunyi, came to survey the institute
and offer his guidance to provide constructive suggestions
for the long-range development of the research institute.
Beginning in 1992, the American
Soybean Association and our institute started our
cooperation with Professor Shen Huile, the chief
technical officer of poultry at the China Representative
Office of the American Soybean Association, leading
the venture. Feed with no fishmeal was used for
commercial chickens and breeding chickens and the
cooperation adopted the popped soybean technology
provided for by the American Soybean Association
and started a popped soybean factory. Our institute
was the first unit in Sichuan Province to use the
popped soybean technology. Currently, nearly all
of the large breeding farms in Sichuan Province
use the popped soybeans as feed.
In 1994, in reply to the invitation from Papora Breeding
Poultry Company of Hungry, director Chen Jiarong took
part in the celebration ceremonies commemorating the 20th
anniversary of the company and introduced 6000 sets of
a special variety of black chickens at the same time which
brought good benefits to the institute as well as established
a foundation for raising the production performance of
hybridization after that time.
In 1996, director Chen Jiarong was a part of the
China poultry delegation that was lead by the secretary-general
of the China Poultry Association. The delegation
traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to attend the 19th
World Poultry Exposition. The delegation also visited
numerous enterprises engaged in the poultry industry
in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. In 1998, in
reply to the invitation from the International Training
Foundation of Canada, vice-director
Chen Ge acompanied the exploratory mission of the
China Women Entrepreneur's Association to Canada
and participated in a 20-day training for enterprise
management in addition to visiting and surveying
some enterprises.
In
2001, vice-director Luo Caiying went to Germany to visit
relatives and made a friendly visit to the German/Dutch
Poultry Equipment Company. In addition to these foreign
visits, we have received professionals engaged in the
poultry industry from Germany, Russia, Malaysia and other
countries. We have also set up business dealings with
MERIAL LIMITED FRANCE, INTERVET INTERNATIONAL BV HOLLAND,
LABORATORIOS HIPRA SA. SPAIN, SOLVAY ANIMAL HEALTH INC.
US A and other companies. The International Poultry Magazine
(Chinese Version), located in the USA in the State of
Illinois, often sends us their publication for free.
